Flinder Boyd is a former professional basketball player (10 years in Europe) turned journalist, writer, and producer. His articles have appeared in Rolling Stone, Newsweek, and Bleacher Report's B/R Mag among others. He's twice been anthologized in Best American Sports Writing, selected four times in Sports Illustrated's Best Journalism of the Year and been included in multiple year-end best-of lists (USA Today, Deadspin, Think Progress, Longreads.com, SI.com).
On TV, his work has been featured on ABC’s 20/20, Viceland, TVOne, MTV, UK's BT Sport, and the BBC. He is also a former writer and presenter on FS1's docu-series on FoxSports Live, including the Sports Emmy Award-winning Finding Rico Harris, based on his own article The Vanishing Man.
Raised in Los Angeles, he holds degrees from Dartmouth College and Queen Mary University of London, and is a US/UK dual national. He’s currently developing documentaries and writing and producing a 8-part audio documentary series.
